Schumer Threatens 2 SCOTUS Justices, Gets Ripped by Chief Justice Roberts

There is nothing better than the hypocrisy of the Democrat party.

During a recent Planned Parenthood event, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) blatantly threatened two sitting Supreme Court Justices, then tried to lie his way out of it.

The Threat

The words of Schumer are unmistakably a threat.

Schumer stated, “I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price!

“You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

After Schumer made his speech and was called out by everyone over his words, his spokesperson accused the “threat” narrative of being right-wing spin.

They tried to claim Schumer was clearly conveying the price Republicans would pay, not a threat to the justices.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t hear a single mention of the Republican party in this snippet…

The Backlash

Justice Roberts immediately fired back at Schumer, stating, “This morning, Senator Schumer spoke at a rally in front of the Supreme Court while a case was being argued inside. Senator Schumer referred to two Members of the Court by name and said he wanted to tell them that ‘You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You will not know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.'”

“Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous. All Members of the Court will continue to do their job, without fear or favor, from whatever quarter.”

President Trump was also quick to address the threat…

Schumer’s office tried to deflect and go after Roberts for his comments, even accusing him of ignoring comments recently made by Trump, but once again, they were wrong.

Trump did ask both Justice Ginsburg and Justice Sotomayor to recuse themselves from cases involving him due to their biased previous comments, but he never used threatening words as Schumer did.

Laurence Tribe, not exactly a Trump fan, also called out Schumer…

Even Judge Napolitano called out Schumer, stating, “This is protected speech.

“I condemn what Schumer said, but will defend to the death his right to say it, but it is dangerous speech if more people pick up on it.”

Comments like Schumer’s are what start threats and attacks against Justices.

This was not a nickname or a comedy routine during a rally, but a blatant threat against sitting justices.

There is no apology from Schumer that can make this right and his fellow members in the Senate, as well as his own party, need to hold him accountable right now.
