How insane is the radical left right now? Well, actually, how insane is the left, period?
On Thursday, the House voted on an amendment to the Rights for Transportation Security Officers Act.
The new amendment would prevent anyone previously convicted of sexual assault, violent crimes, and terrorism ties from working for the TSA.
For some reason, 174 Democrats voted against the bill, but it still managed to pass.
This amendment was part of the aforementioned Act to put TSA workers on par with other federal employees.
Dangerous Times
After Democrat leadership openly rejected the amendment, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) slammed the Dems for opposing a common-sense piece of legislation.
He stated, “[The amendment] was pulled back by leadership because the socialist wing of the party did not want to have that amendment go forward on this bill.
“When it was offered, overwhelmingly the majority of the House would like to see the TSA not hire terrorists or those who have been convicted of sexual misconduct with minors and others.
“But the socialist wing of the party, that controls now the Democratic Party, said that that could not be offered.”
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) did not vote on this particular piece of legislation but it should be noted that every member of AOC’s Squad voted against it.
Just Common Sense
With TSA agents having been criticized for their behavior and still facing criticism for a 2017 smuggling operation involving TSA agents trying to get 20 pounds of cocaine into Puerto Rico, this amendment makes perfect sense.
Ther is also the fact TSA agents are often searching women and children, so why the pushback on legislation that would make everyone feel more comfortable?
Who exactly are the Democrats trying to protect with their opposition vote? Terrorists? Sex Offenders? Violent Criminals?
Just a little more to think about as election day draws nearer.
