Every time there is a mass shooting, Democrats turn it into a gun control movement.
They fail to realize, or rather simply ignore, that roughly 90 percent of mass shootings are conducted with illegal firearms.

Stopping mass shootings has nothing at all to do with stopping law-abiding citizens from purchasing weapons and everything to do with enforcing existing gun laws and ensuring those with mental issues would not be able to purchase weapons.
From what I have read about the Colorado shooting, the alleged shooter was already on the FBI watchlist and apparently also had severe mental issues.
Either of those should have prevented him from being able to purchase a weapon, but both failed.
Cruz addressed these very issues when he went off on his fellow Senators…
