Sanders to Cut Staffers Hours Rather Than Pay ‘Fair’ Wage

Earlier this week, Sanders’ campaign staffers went to the media for being underpaid by the socialist candidate.

In response, rather than pay them for the work they are currently doing, Sanders stated he will cut down their work schedule so their salary ensures they are being paid $15 per hour.

Bad Move Bernie

Bernie Sanders may not realize it just yet, but his campaign to be president is officially over.

This was Bernie’s chance to actually put his money where his mouth is as well as put his socialist agenda in play in real life.

Instead, he practiced capitalistic management and is ensuring the bottom line is protected.

The complaint from campaign staffers is that they were working far more hours than their salary was compensating them for.

When they figured out their hourly rate against their hours worked, the found their $15/hour rate was actually more like $13/hour.

The move by Sanders should have been to adjust their salary accordingly, not cut their hours.

Bernie nor his campaign director made did anything to help their cause with their comments in the media this week.

His campaign director more or less told the workers to shut up and Sanders was not much better.

Sanders stated, “It does bother me that people are going outside of the process and going to the media.

“That is really not acceptable.

“It is really not what labor negotiations are about, and it’s improper.”

Proving Socialism Fails

Sanders has always railed people should not have to work two jobs to make ends meet.

What he just did, though, ensures his workers will have to do exactly that.

Because he is going to cut their hours rather than actually pay them for the hours they have been working, it will not change their financial situation.

The argument against the raising of the minimum wage has always been that it will force companies to reduce hours in order to keep their costs in line.

All Bernie just did was prove all the detractors of the $15/hour wage right with this move.

The fact that Bernie had an epic fail in this situation did not go unnoticed by the media or members of Congress.

Columnist Stephen Miller wrote, “For the first time in his life, socialist Bernie Sanders practices economics and, buddy, the results are hilarious.

“Why won’t millionaire Bernie Sanders, who owns 3 homes, instead of cutting hours, pay his staff a living wage?

“People are starving.”

Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw also blasted Sanders with a hard-hitting tweet…

The Blaze’s Aaron Colen wrote, “This situation is an instructive example of the downside of more than doubling the minimum wage.

“Companies don’t just suddenly get more money to pay employees.

“They have to make tough decisions; usually either cutting hours, or worse, cutting staff.”

Say goodbye to your hopes of getting into the White House Bernie and thank you so much for proving us all right.
