2 Mass Shooting in 3 Hours in Chicago – Virtually Ignored by Media

In the space of a little less than three hours, two mass shooting occurred in the city of Chicago this weekend, only nobody knows about them.

Early Sunday morning, at approximately 1:20 a.m., ironically, right around the same time as the Dayton shooting, seven people were wounded in a shooting at Douglas Park.

A little more than two hours later, seven more people were shot, one killed, in a shooting on the 4200 block of West 18th street.

The First Shooting

During the first shooting, which occurred around 1:20 a.m., a group of people were standing around in Douglas Park.

According to reports, a black Camaro drove buy and started to fire at them.

In all, seven people were wounded with ages ranging from 19 to 25.

Police believe four to five people were firing at the crowd, with nearly 75 shots having been fired.

According to local news reports, all victims have been stabilized.

The Second Shooting

At 3:43 a.m., the second shooting occurred on West 18th Street.

While details were limited about the shooter(s), we do know that seven people were hit, with one fatality.

The fatality was 33-year-old Demetrius Flowers, who was shot in the chest and pronounced dead later at the hospital.

Included in the victims was a 14-year-old boy, who is now reportedly in stable condition.

25 Shot in Four Hours

There were numerous other shootings throughout the city over the weekend, with many of them involving multiple victims.

During the 4-hour window of violence, two women were shot on the 1200 block of South Troy.

During a four-hour span, police stated there were a total of 25 people shot.

Police stated there were at least 43 victims just over this past weekend, with 15 of them coming from the two shootings mentioned above.

Media Blackout

We have to ask, what makes these shootings any different from the shootings that occurred in Dayton or El Paso?

Are they not as “sexy” to the media because they did not involve young white men with an apparent ax to grind?

Where they not as reportable by the media because they did not involve immigrants?

Did not enough people actually die to deem these mass shootings newsworthy?

Does the media itself value the lives of black men and women so little that they fail to report the absurd amount of violence that occurs in Chicago every weekend?

The other two shootings were horrific; there is no mistaking that and they should have been front-page news, which they were.

But Chicago has shootings that amount to be far more deadly every weekend and the only place you see them reported is by the local media, Breitbart, and alt-media sites like ours.

Most of our politicians don’t even mention Chicago when they talk about gun reform, which his simply amazing, considering the gun laws in the city and the fact this violence is taking place against a minority community.

There is clearly a bias here and we must expose it, so share this article with everyone you know so Americans can really see what the mainstream media is trying to hide from the public.
