California School Board Members Resign After Mocking Parents

Teachers have been taking a lot of heat from parents over their refusal to get back into the classroom.

Teachers’ unions have apparently bullied the Biden administration into backing this stance, even though there is ample science to show that as long as the proper precautions are taken, our schools can be reopened safely.

This has led to some animosity, animosity that was expressed openly when an entire school board thought they were just speaking among themselves rather than blasting their opinions to the entire district.

That Oops Moment

During the Oakley Union Elementary District meeting, the conversation veered toward parents complaining about the current situation.

Several members were upset at the complaints parents were currently lodging at them, with board President Lisa Brizendine eventually saying, “They forget there’s real people on the other side of those letters that they’re writing. … They don’t know what we know behind the scenes, and it’s really unfortunate they want to pick on us because they want their babysitters back.”

As if that was not bad enough, after checking to ensure the meeting was a closed meeting (which it was not), another board member stated, “If you’re gonna call me out, I’m gonna f— you up.”

Yet another member accuses parents of wanting their kids back in school so they could sit around and get high all day on medical marijuana.

The jig was soon up, however, when someone messaged one of the board members to let them know everything they had just said was in an open forum.

Here is the video of the entire meeting, right up until the screen goes blank when they realized the very people they were mocking had heard every word they had said…

Soon after this story broke, the Chair resigned, followed by the rest of the board.

Parents were livid, however, with Ashley Stalf, who has a 6-year-old who attends classes in the district, stating, “We meet regularly with the board as parents and we’re constantly sending in letters and emails and telling them our griefs and our strife’s over distance learning.

“It seems as of late that they mocked us, that we’re just complaining and we have nothing better to do.”

She added, “What are their true intentions, if they feel so freely that they can talk, you know, on a mic that may or may not be hot, what’s truly being said behind closed doors?”

The local County Board will assign interim members of the board until a new board can be appointed or elected.
