Biden COVID Adviser Denies Claim He Advises Cuomo on COVID Policies

Dr. Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota, is one of Joe Biden’s top advisers for COVID.

His name was brought up by Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa several weeks ago.

In trying to defend Cuomo’s policies, DeRosa claimed that among other “experts,” the Governor was in regular contact with Dr. Osterholm for advice on police guidelines, but that is apparently not true.

Politicians lie, that is what they do, but Cuomo may be setting a record, especially when it comes to making sure an alibi is in place.

In her February 10 meeting with local lawmakers, DeRosa stated, “The governor speaks, well obviously Dr. Zucker chiefly advises us internally.

“The governor speaks on a regular basis with Dr. [Anthony] Fauci and Dr. Michael Osterholm.

“I would say those are two of the people that are chief advisors.”

That, however, was news to Dr. Ostersholm, who clarified his relationship with Cuomo’s office during a recent interview.

Dr. Osterholm stated, “I’ve had one 5-minute conversation my entire life with Governor Cuomo, just a few weeks ago when he called me just to congratulate me on a TV program appearance.”

He added, “First of all, I had nothing to do with his nursing home activity at all.

“I came on basically in early June only just to review data on a weekly basis — ‘did it meet the standards that they had set.’

“So I was almost more of a technician than any kind of technologist. I never met with their group.”

It would be nice to get Dr. Fauci on the record for this as well.

If Fauci says something similar, it sure would be nice to know exactly who was advising Cuomo because, with every passing day, it seems as though he was just making this up on his own as he went along.
