How we ever got to the point where movie stars are considered the voice of reason in politics, I will never know.
That being said, anti-Trumper Robert De Niro has once again chimed in, but this time he took his animosity to a whole new level, even suggesting violence against our President.
He is a Disgrace
For almost three years, Robert De Niro has shown the entire world just how angry a man he is.
At one point, De Niro was doing an apology tour for Trump, literally asking people to forgive our country for having elected Trump to office.
This latest rant, though, is extreme even for De Niro.
While he has suggested in the past that he would like to fight Trump, now he is putting that onus on his fans.
Immediately after saying his threat to punch Trump in the face was a figure of speech, De Niro suggested something far worse.
De Niro stated, “I’d like to see a bag of shit right in his face.
“Hit him right in the face like that, and let the picture go all over the world.
“He needs to be humiliated.
“He needs to be confronted and humiliated by whoever his opponent is, his political opponent.
“They have to stand up to him, they don’t have to do it in an obvious physical way, but they have to have the formidability to confront him and to put him in his place because the people have to see that, to see him be humiliated.”
Now, correct me if I am wrong, but that hardly sounds like a figure of speech.
In a day and age when Dems are against bullying and say words hurt, where is the outrage over De Niro’s comments?
If Dems say Trump’s words create hate and divide in this country, what will happen as a result of De Niro’s words?
What we have is a man that plays pretend for a living that is too cowardly to carry this out on his own, so he plants the seed in the minds of the liberal horde, hoping one of them will carry out his request.
I want to know where the outrage is? Where is the demand for an apology? Where is the blacklisting of his career? All of which would have happened if De Niro was a conservative and had made the same statement aimed at any Democrat.
