Amazon Fights Back… Attacks Biden and AOC

Amazon has been serving as a punching bag for Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and Joe Biden over recent months and it would appear the company has had just about all it can take.

Over the course of the last week, Amazon has hit back hard against both Joe Biden and AOC.

Getting Even with Joe

Joe Biden has been targeting Amazon over its taxes for weeks, if not longer.

Biden recently stated, “I have nothing against Amazon, but no company pulling in billions of dollars in profits should pay a lower tax rate than firefighters and teachers.

“We need to reward work, not just wealth.”

Amazon fired right back at Biden, citing his issue should be with the U.S. tax code, not the online retailer.

Biden, obviously, is using Amazon as a way to go after the tax cuts offered by President Trump.

However, Amazon has abided by the purpose of the tax cuts and has reinvested money in its business.

Part of that reinvestment was supposed to go to New York in the way of a new headquarters, but AOC wrecked that deal.

Amazon also recently announced a program to offer current employees a $10,000 stake to start their own Amazon delivery service, something that may not have even been an option without the tax breaks.

Targeting AOC

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez appears to have a real ax to grind with Amazon.

First, she helped to block Amazon from coming to New York, as mentioned above, and now she is going after their pay structure.

Unfortunately, at least for AOC, she got her facts wrong.

During AOC’s “This Week” interview, she stated, “When you have a very large workforce and you underpay every single person and then you also participate in taking billions of dollars of government subsidies, that could be part of it.”

Amazon immediately fired back, stating that the company is “a leader on pay at $15 min wage + full benefits from day one.

“We also lobby to raise federal minimum wage.”

Other than Muslim workers complaining about prayer time, has anyone ever really read a negative story about Amazon?

They supply tens of thousands of jobs, pay full benefits, offer fast delivery, and keep prices absurdly low.

If Democrats are going to pick on someone, they would be well-served to come to the table with accurate facts because Amazon has made it quite clear over the last couple of days that it will no longer allow itself to be targeted by Democrats.

Considering the reach of Amazon, that is VERY bad news for the Democrat party.
