AOC Drunken Instagram Rant

Yet another embarrassing moment for the young Congresswoman.

While apparently doing some chores and sipping a little wine, perhaps too much wine, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) decided to do a live Instagram story and tell everyone what she thinks about all the criticism she has been facing lately…

Time to Grow Up

Yes, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.

However, she is also an adult and it is time she started to act like one.

Clearly, the pressures and criticism are getting to her, as she appears as though she is on the verge of tears in the video.

While I surely do not have anything against anyone throwing back a drink (although I personally prefer a nice bourbon over white wine), it is strongly advised NOT to make an Instagram video for all the world to see when you are doing it, especially if you are an elected official that is having every word and action scrutinized right now.

Get It Under Control

Listen, I think it is great we have some young blood in Congress.

While I do not like AOC’s ideology for a second, fresh blood is what is needed on both sides of the aisle.

It would be nice to see Republicans get some fresh blood that can go toe-to-toe with the new breed of Democrat.

Having said that, if you are going to come out with an extreme position, you better know your facts and you better be able to take the heat.

AOC sounds like a whining adolescent in that video, ready to have an emotional breakdown.

She is only three months into her first term and she is already cracking.

Sadly, Ocasio-Cortez often sounds like a kid on campus that has just enough information to be dangerous.

Even sadder is the fact that she seems to be pushing her own agenda rather than the agenda of the individuals that elected her to office.

Her title is Representative, which means she represents her constituents.

Last night, she embarrassed them.

If you want to play in the big leagues, you better be on your game Ms. Ocasio-Cortez.

You are no longer arguing politics at the bar with a bunch of drunk New Yorkers that could not even tell you the three branches of the government (oh, that’s right, she doesn’t know that one) or how many amendments are in the Constitution (that answer is 27 – 33 amendments were sent to Congress for ratification, with 27 having been ratified by the required number of states).

Enjoy the rest of your time in office and have another glass of wine Ms. Ocasio-Cortez because based on your most recent approval ratings, you will not be in that D.C. apartment in two more years.
