House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has had about all she can take from the New Breed led by Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).
After Pelosi publicly slammed AOC and her fellow far-left members of Congress, the freshman congresswoman was a bit taken aback by the public dress down at the hands of Pelosi.
AOC stated that Pelosi’s behavior was “puzzling” since she has the right to vote whichever way she chooses.
The Hypocrisy of AOC
Several months ago, AOC literally threatened the entire Democrat party on pro-choice legislation.
AOC’s camp even came out to tell fellow Democrats that if they did not vote as one, those that voted against her were going to be put on her list.
Unfortunately, that is not how things work in government.
Elected representatives are supposed to represent their constituents with their vote, not whatever AOC wishes.
Now that the shoe is on the other foot, however, AOC does not like it one bit.
She stated, “It’s not even the four of us.
“It’s like ‘These ones.
“What the speaker said… it’s not true.
“It’s just wrong… as progressives, it’s okay not to vote for the legislation to make a point.”
What makes it even more hypocritical is that earlier this week, Justice Democrats, a group co-founded by AOC and her chief-of-staff, announced it was backing candidates to unseat several incumbent Democrats.
While making these moves against her fellow Democrats, AOC stated, “Every member needs to represent their district well.
“I’m not here to malign anyone… there’s this false narrative that progressive issues are losing issues in swing districts… we have to expand the electorate.”
AOC is talking out of both sides of her mouth.
On one hand, she says she should have the right to vote however she wants yet she is trying to remove members of her party that did not vote with her before.
I know she is new to the game, but a blind man can see the problems she is creating with these comments and this type of behavior.
Nancy Pelosi clearly seems to have had enough of her shenanigans and is not only calling shaming AOC in public, but Pelosi is also clearly trying to distance herself from the far-left members of the New Breed.
The Democrat party is crumbling patriots, and it could not be happening at a better time.
