The public feud between Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) just got ramped about ten levels.
In her latest efforts to strike back at Pelosi, AOC accused Pelosi of singling out “women of color,” implying racist motivations behind Pelosi’s approach to rein in the New Breed members.
Just Went Too Far
While I am no fan of Nancy Pelosi, I can say with confidence Pelosi is no racist.
That, however, is not the tack AOC is taking in Round 3 of this battle.
AOC stated, “When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood.
“But the persistent singling out . . . it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful . . . the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.”
“When it comes to women of color in Congress, particularly the freshman, it’s that we both have encountered and represent communities that have been auctioned off and negotiated off for the last 20 years.
“And we’re over it.
“We see in these negotiations all the time— it’s like fighting for black communities or policies that help women.
“They’re bargaining chips.
“And they’re the first chips that are reached for in any legislative negotiations.”
This is not going to sit well at all with the Democrat caucus.
The fact here is that AOC is simply overmatched against a lifelong politician that knows how to play the game better.
When in Doubt…
This is the “thing” for Democrats these days.
When they are in a battle and overmatched, they cry racism.
Nancy Pelosi did it with Donald Trump over border legislation.
Bernie Sanders does it all the time against Trump to try and whip up election support.
Ilhan Omar just accused Tucker Carlson of being a racist because of the scathing rant he did against her on his show.
And now AOC has dropped it on the table because Pelosi is getting the better of her.
It is a desperate move, and it may be one that costs her the seat she currently resides in Congress.
Not only that, it just proves how Democrats continuously use the race card when they are behind in an argument.
Without knowing, AOC just blew up her entire party.
