Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has made yet another statement that will make her target number one for Trump supporters.
During a recent appearance for “Pod Save America,” which is hosted by a former Obama staffer, AOC stated the “core part” of Trump’s base is racist.
Uneducated and Racist Trump Voters
The comments made by AOC were not only accusatory and inflammatory, but they were also insulting.
Rep. Ocasio-Cortez stated, “It’s not about asking whether Trump voters are racist.
“We need to talk about racism, not racists.
“Racists, it’s a very two-dimensional, boring conversation.
“Is something racist?
“Yes or no, and then you debate it. … We need to talk about racism, its contours, its history, where it manifests, how it’s used.”

“Like all winning political phenomena, whether they’re good or bad in your opinion, they rely on coalition building.
“So Trump relied on a coalition and a core part of that coalition were racists building a coalition with all sorts of other people that could be susceptible to racists views if they were blanketed and layered and made people feel good it not being a racist thing.
“And so there are a lot of people who support that genuinely don’t believe that they are racist because we do not talk about or educate people on recognizing racism and because we do not do that, it just allows itself to just … get caught up in this debate of ‘Is something racist?
“And then a person uses their defensiveness and they say, ‘Well it’s not racist because I’m not racist and I believe in this thing because it’s economic in nature.'”
The Democrat Rhetoric
To hear AOC talk, it is as though Trump supporters are so ignorant that they are not capable of understanding what racism is.
As is typical with the left, she treats conservatives as though they are far below the understanding of what racism is that the left has.
This is coming from a woman that called the leader of her own party racist simply because she did not bow to what AOC wanted regarding legislation.
AOC, who pulls the race card out at every opportunity, is the last person that should be educating anyone on racism.
She would also be well-advised to look at the culture of her own party, where racism has historically run rampant.
This narrative that she and her fellow Democrats continue to push is both despicable and dangerous.
AOC has just hung a label on Trump supporters and painted a target on their backs in the process, which I personally believe was her true intent.
