If you were curious just how far left the Democrat party has gone, you need look no further than the California Democrat convention this past weekend.
The party embraced the far-left candidates while throwing barbs and jabs at the moderate Democrats in the race, including frontrunner Joe Biden.
Slamming Moderates
Dems did not use Biden’s name, but it was pretty clear who they were talking about when they made their speeches.
For instance, Bernie Sanders stated, “We cannot go back to the old ways.”
That was no doubt a play on Rep. Ocasio Cortez (D-N.Y.) telling the press earlier this year that voting for Biden would be like taking a step backward.
Several speakers stated how important it was to see who showed up and who did not.
The implication was clearly that Biden did not find the people of California important enough to even bother to make the trip, staying out east for fundraising instead.
Speaking of AOC, she took a nice shot at another moderate in the race, John Delaney.
Delaney was more or less run off the stage after stating, “Medicare for all may sound good but it’s actually not good policy nor is it good politics.”
AOC literally told him to “sashay away.”
Since there’s so many people running for President (& not enough for Senate), instead of obsessing over who‘s a “frontrunner,” maybe we can start w some general eliminations.
This awful, untrue line got boo’ed for a full minute.
John Delaney, thank you but please sashay away 👋🏽 https://t.co/0RDOwbfcgv

Delaney did hit back at both the jeers and AOC…
Another point, if you are booing Democrats, do you really expect the country to trust what you have to say if you can't listen respectfully to people in your own party? Let’s raise the discourse and not fall down to the level of the president

Far Left Reigns
The clash within the party is not going unnoticed by the GOP.
Joe Gierut, Press Secretary for opposition research shop America Rising, stated, “Chaos is reigning supreme in the Democratic primary.
“This weekend’s convention was a preview of the far-left, socialist policies that will be front and center on the debate stage.
“The Democratic Party’s love for socialism was on full display as candidates starting bruising each other ahead of the general election.
“By the time we get to the national convention, socialism will be the official party platform that is juxtaposed with President Trump’s record in office.”
The way this is playing out, Democrats are now becoming very concerned that supporters of socialist candidates will sit on the sidelines in protest if their candidate does not win.
However, that same danger exists for someone like Sanders or Warren winning, as we just don’t see moderate Democrats putting a socialist in office over Trump.
Either way, it is just not looking good for Democrats in 2020 right now.
