Biden Gets Slammed by Dems as Poll Numbers Continue to Dip

As perfect as the kickoff to the Biden campaign was, it has been that disastrous over the last two weeks.

Things are so bad for Biden right now, he ever has members of his former administration taking open shots at him.

Was That a Joke?

Unbeknownst to me, Saturday was apparently “Best Friends Day.”

Perhaps that is because I am an adult and not a 16-year-old girl, but I digress.

Biden actually knew all about it and decided to send out a tweet to celebrate the day with his buddy Barack Obama.

I have to admit, when I saw the tweet, I was completely baffled, as, apparently, were some Democrats that used to work side-by-side with Biden during the Obama administration.

Barack Obama’s former senior adviser, David Axelrod, actually openly called Biden out on Twitter for the tweet Biden had sent out showing a friendship bracelet with the names of the former Vice President and President…

Axelrod was right in one aspect in that the picture of the friendship bracelet was from a video Buzzfeed produced in 2016.

Still, though, for a man that says he does not want to have the former president endorse him, he is going a long way to show his attachment to the administration.

One could even say he is trying to ride Obama’s coattails into his own presidency.

Light Travel Schedule

Biden is trying to have his cake and eat it too on this campaign.

His travel schedule thus far has not been overwhelmingly busy, and it is starting to show up in the polls.

Two weeks ago, Biden missed the California State Democrat convention.

Now, California has gone off the rails in terms of liberalism, so it is not exactly the demographic he really appeals to, but regardless of how he does in the state during a primary, if he gets the nod, he will need them during a general election.

This is something that was noticed by attendees as well as the other presidential candidates in the race, all of whom took some type of shot at Biden for skipping out.

This weekend, virtually every candidate in the race was in Iowa for the Iowa Democrat Party Hall of Fame.

Well, all of them except for Joe Biden.

Biden stayed home to attend the graduation of one of his granddaughters.

This, too, was noticed by his fellow competitors, with Andrew Yang stating, “When I saw the program for today, I thought the same thing you all did, which is this: Joe Biden must really not like to travel.”

Biden will be in Iowa on Tuesday, but the damage may have already been done by missing out on the big event.

This all comes on the tail end of the triple flop by Biden on the Hyde Amendment, something that is not going to go away anytime soon.

Axelrod actually commented on that over the weekend, stating, “Changes of position over a long career are justifiable but should be thoughtfully planned.

“This was an awkward flip-flop-flip.”

Not only was it awkward, but the campaign sent out excuse after excuse about it, at one point saying Biden misunderstood what the woman in South Carolina had asked him (the original flip-flop on his stance).

Over the last two weeks, the campaign has looked ill-prepared and downright sloppy at times.

In that time, Biden’s double-digit lead has shrunk down to single digits, with the main benefactors being Elizabeth Warren and Pete Buttigieg.

Ladies and gentlemen, we officially have a race!
