It is rare when we can give CNN some props for doing the right thing but Jake Tapper crushed it here.
Tapper was interviewing Biden and asked him about the Taliban deal and when Biden made a massive misstatement, Tapper called him out on live TV.
Just Blatantly Wrong
If you are going to comment on a policy, the least you can do is read it in full before going on TV.
Now, there are definitely some concerns with the peace treaty reached with the Taliban, most notably the fact that 5,000 Taliban prisoners are about to go free.
My concern here would be that these prisoners are fully vetted to ensure no radicals are being released.
That, however, was not Joe Biden’s concern.
When Tapper asked Biden about the agreement, Biden stated, “I think it’s very important that they have a commitment from the Taliban that, in fact, they are not going to support Al Qaida, they are not going to support those organizations that use the eastern… western Pakistan and Afghanistan to launch attacks against the United States.”
Tapper immediately stepped in to correct Biden, telling him that, in fact, that provision was in the treaty.
Biden them openly admitted he had not even read the treaty!
He stated, “I’m sorry, I have not read the deal, I just know what has been reported.”

Well, Joe, I hate to break it to you, but the entirety of the deal has been published and it clearly states the Taliban will work against terrorist organizations in the area and NOT support terrorist attacks.
This man is running for president and he is slamming policies and treaties of which he is apparently relying on news networks rather than the actual documents, which are not exactly difficult for him to get his hands on.
Normally, Biden would get away with comments such as this but, thankfully, Clapper called him out on the spot, making him look like the fool he is.
Now if we could just get people like Tapper to explain how every one of his family members got rich while he was the vice president of this country, it would be really great.
