On Friday, Joe Biden said there is no way that he would honor a subpoena issued by the Senate to testify in the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump.
He took a surprising amount of heat for his comments, mostly due to the fact the Dems are impeaching Trump for obstruction, which is what this would fall under.
Over the weekend, Biden tried to explain exactly why he would not appear in the Senate, and he failed miserably.
We’re Not Buying It
When Biden first stated that he did not want to testify, he blamed it on how the media would cover it.
Biden stated, “What are you going to cover?
“You guys are going to cover for three weeks anything that I said. And (Trump’s) going to get away.”
After he took some heat, he tried to clarify…
I want to clarify something I said yesterday. In my 40 years in public life, I have always complied with a lawful order and in my eight years as VP, my office — unlike Donald Trump and Mike Pence — cooperated with legitimate congressional oversight requests.

The subpoenas should go to witnesses with testimony to offer to Trump’s shaking down the Ukraine government — they should go to the White House.

The problem for Biden, though, is this impeachment is very much about his conduct.
If Joe did not have Hunter set up in Ukraine and China, the impeachment never would have happened.
It is imperative that we find out if Joe Biden did anything nefarious because it would justify Trump seeking an investigation into him.
I said this the other day and I will say it again…
The American people have a right to know if one of the candidates in the race acted corruptly while he was vice president.
We deserve to know if he abused his power in a way that enabled his son’s financial gain.
So, you see, Joe, you are very much relevant to this impeachment.
See you at the trial, Mr. Biden, or, if you prefer, we can just appoint a special investigator to look into these allegations.
I think Mr. Durham will be freed up in a few weeks!
