Presidential candidate Joe Biden likes to pretend he has always been an advocate for Mexico and illegal immigrants, but the facts tell a far different story.
In 2006, Biden made statements about Mexico and immigrants that sound eerily familiar to what conservatives and Donald Trump are saying today.
While making an appearance during the 2008 presidential season at the South Carolina Rotary Club, Biden accused the Mexican government of being “corrupt,” admitted he wanted a border fence, and claimed “tons” of drugs were flooding over the border from Mexico.
Pre-Trump
Before Donald Trump came into the picture, Democrats and Republicans were working together to find the problem at the border.
While it was far from perfect, legislation was being written and passed in an attempt to get the illegal immigration problem under control.
This was something that went all the way back to the Clinton administration.
Listening to Biden’s speech now, you could put him in place of Trump at any rally and it would be hard to tell the difference…
Biden made himself out to be some type of rebel, going against the wishes of some members of his party.
He stated, “Now, I know I’m not supposed to say it that bluntly, but they’re the facts, they’re the facts.
“And so everything else we do is in between here. Everything else we do is at the margins.
“And the reason why I add that parenthetically, why I believe the fence is needed does not have anything to do with immigration as much as drugs.
“And let me tell you something folks, people are driving across that border with tons, tons, hear me, tons of everything from byproducts for methamphetamine to cocaine to heroin and it’s all coming up through corrupt Mexico.”
Sanctuary Cities and Illegal Workers
The idea of sanctuary cities is not something that came to be under Trump.
This was also a concern more than a decade ago.
Biden was asked straight up, “Yes or no, would you allow those cities to ignore the federal law?”
His answer, a simple, “No.”
Biden also wanted to drop the hammer on employers hiring illegal immigrants as well as being opposed to illegals getting a driver’s license.
He stated, “If you knowingly hire an illegal alien, then you should be held accountable.”
I cannot stress enough how important it is to make people aware of this to expose Joe Biden as the fraud and hypocrite he is.
He is by far deemed to be the biggest threat to Donald Trump in a general election because many of today’s voters are completely unaware how much of a hypocrite Biden is.
People are falling for the image he is presenting today, but that image is a complete façade of the man Biden really is and they do not realize he will literally say anything to get elected.
