It is a truly rare moment when a Democrat admits that Trump did something right.
In a recent interview, Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo did just that.
Shockingly, she had to admit that the tariffs Trump put in place against China were effective.
They Worked
When asked if the Biden administration planned to keep the tariffs in place, Raimondo stated, “Let me say those tariffs have been effective.
“The data show that those tariffs have been effective.
“And I think what President Biden has said is we’re going to have a whole of government review of all of these policies, and decide what it makes sense to maintain.”
Of course, she also took the expected shots at Trump, but this admission probably had the entire Democrat Party groaning after she made it.
She also made a statement that goes against the narrative that Biden pushed throughout the election.
On China, she stated, “We have to be honest, which is to say China’s behavior is anti-competitive, coercive, their human rights abuses are horrific, and they need to be held to account for that.”
Correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t Joe Biden previously dismiss China as any type of threat against our country?
