Bolton Finally Admits It… His Testimony Would NOT Have Mattered

Just as I had stated all along, John Bolton was involved in a publicity stunt and nothing more.

That confirmation comes right from the mouth of Bolton himself, who stated during a recent appearance that “my testimony would have made no difference” to the Trump acquittal.

Setting the Record Straight

When the great Bolton debate was blowing up in the news, I was pretty adamant that all Bolton was doing was trying to sell books.

I have no idea what Bolton wanted to tell the Senate, but I was pretty sure it would not have mattered.

If it was something that would have mattered, he would have come forward to testify before the House, where Democrats could have used the information against Trump.

This week, Bolton appeared with Susan Rice at Vanderbilt University, where he stated, “People can argue about what I should have said and what I should have done.

“I would bet you a dollar right here and now, my testimony would have made no difference to the ultimate outcome.”

Not only that, but he accused Democrats of “impeachment malpractice” and stated he thought the impeachment proceedings “drove Republicans who might have voted for impeachment away because it was so partisan.”

Will We See the Book?

Since Bolton never did testify, everyone wants to see his book, which was the whole point of his grandstanding.

Now, however, it appears as though that may never happen.

Those responsible for vetting the book have already told Bolton he has classified information in the book and new reports are stating that Trump is trying to block it from coming out.

Trump, however, should take a back seat on that front and allow the process to play out.

If he does not do that, the media and Dems are going to have a field day with it.

As long as there is no classified information and the book passes through the vetting process, Trump really has no right to block it.

Once the book comes out, however, he has every right to refute anything Bolton says, as do other officials in the administration that were present during these meetings.

Having said that, we really do need to do something about former top-level government officials running to their computer to pen a book right after they leave office to make millions.

Government service these days seems to be more about getting information to write an insider’s book to get rich than anything else.
