CNN was clearly pushing the racist angle last night, which is probably why most conservatives tuned out after about ten minutes.
While I lost count of how many times the term “racist” or a variation of it was used, one of the most notable uses of it was by Mayor Pete Buttigieg when he used the term “naked racism.”
This was something he would further clarify on Wednesday during a post-debate interview.
Naked Racism
Buttigieg stated the many Republicans are enabling Trump’s “naked racism” out of fear.
In other words, they are so terrified of what Trump may do to them politically, they allow him to go about being a “racist” and do nothing about it.
During CNN’s “New Day” on Wednesday, John Berman asked Buttigieg, “Are you suggesting that Republicans in Congress, around the country, are enabling racism?”
Buttigieg responded, “Absolutely.
“They are enabling all of the wrongdoing that this President has brought with him – from inaction on Russia interference to naked racism.
“Look, 20 years ago, when David Duke, the Klan leader, ran for governor as a Republican — tried to in Louisiana — the Republican Party was horrified.
“They ran away from him as fast as you can go.
“Now, you see racism emanating from the White House and Republicans are either supporting it or they are silent.
“And the thing that’s really important to understand right now is they know better.
“He’s betraying not just my values, but his own party’s values.
“They know it.
“They are silent because they are afraid.”
That argument by Buttigieg is why Democrats are going to lose this election.
Yes, there are people buying into this narrative, but they were never going to be Trump supporters anyway.
The rest of America is tired of having this false narrative about racism rammed down their throats.
Furthermore, what do Republicans have to fear from Donald Trump politically?
Several members of Congress have stood up to Trump on numerous occasions, and they are all still standing.
This is fear-mongering, nothing more.
America is finally starting to understand Democrats are trying to buy the minority vote in this country with reparations and special programs to “help” minorities rather than treat them as equals.
This constant use of the race card is getting old and the real America simply won’t tolerate it come election day.
