Buttigieg Coming Out to Endorse Joe Biden

Well, well, well, there is definitely some moving and shaking going on within the Democrat party now.

Late Sunday, word broke that Buttigieg was going to suspend his campaign, and now we are being told that he is about to endorse Joe Biden.

Obama Gets Involved

The really interesting thing in these sudden campaign endings is that they are all happening just before Super Tuesday.

Earlier today, Klobuchar ended her campaign and threw her support behind Biden, now Buttigieg, after a 24-hour delay, is doing the same.

However, in terms of Buttigieg, it is also being reported that Barack Obama was consulted.

While the reports did not say Obama specifically told Buttigieg to endorse Joe Biden, he did tell him that he has leverage and he should carefully consider how he uses it.

This is speculation on my part, but I fully expect that some phone calls have been going on behind the scenes to make backroom deals for this support.

Getting It Down to Bernie and Joe

Up until this morning, Super Tuesday was going to be a really bad day for Joe Biden.

That, however, has changed rather dramatically.

Joe Biden was trailing in virtually every poll against Sanders on virtually the entire Super Tuesday slate.

The support of Klobuchar will help, but only marginally.

However, her numbers along with Buttigieg’s numbers could lead to a double-digit swing for Biden, enough of a swing to pull him close to or even surpass Sanders in just about every state except California.

The key state for Biden on Tuesday is Texas, though, make no mistake about that.

Sanders has a shocking lead in the state in current polls but that will surely change with Buttigieg throwing his support behind Biden.

With this race now effectively down to four candidates, there will now be two clear leaders in Biden and Sanders after Super Tuesday.

It is just a matter of Biden staying close enough to Sanders to keep him from getting a majority so he can eventually steal the election away at the convention when the superdelegates get activated and rob Bernie of the nomination… again.
