During a recent roundtable event at the White House, former NFL safety Jack Brewer called President Trump the “first black president.”
As expected, the comment caused outrage on the left, but none more than Keith Boykin, a political commentator on CNN.
Those Uncle Toms
If you have followed politics, you already know black conservatives are ostracized by their liberal counterparts.
They are often called race traitors, Uncle Toms, and worse.
Jack Brewer has been someone fighting for criminal justice reform for minorities for years, but he is now considered a traitor by his own people simply for expressing his support of Donald Trump.
During a CNN panel discussion on Don Lemon’s show, commentator Keith Boykin went off the deep end after hearing Brewer’s comments.
He stated, “[Trump] has not made any serious effort to reach black people.
“The idea that anybody would sit in a room with Donald Trump and call him the first black president after we had Barack Obama as the president of the United States.
“It shows just what kind of Uncle Toms were sitting in that room in the first place.”
Now, this comment actually goes well beyond Brewer, as there were some rather significant African American voices sitting around that table with President Trump.
Social media stars Diamond and Silk were there as were Candace Owens, Isaiah Washington, Andre Berto, Pastor Darrell Scott, Paris Denard, Deneed Borelli, David Harris Jr, and Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King.
The language used by Boykin, quite frankly, is hate language and should be treated as such.
The fact that Lemon did nothing other than saying “Oh” makes him guilty by association.
Boykin and his fellow hate mongers can say whatever they want, but it will not change the fact Trump has done more for minorities in this country over the last three-plus years than Obama did during his eight years in office.
That is the exact reason that Brewer thinks he is going to win.
Brewer recently stated, “Donald Trump will get over 20% of the black vote. That is what’s going to win the election.
“Why? Because there hasn’t been a Republican to even try to go in and talk to the black community. They don’t go there. They don’t even try. I think he’s trying, finally.”
