CNN Slammed by Liberals Over Handling of Debate

The CNN presidential debate last night was virtually unwatchable but for those that did stay tuned, there was considerable backlash.

The debate is supposed to give candidates equal time, regardless of their ranking, but that was far from the case on CNN.

Elizabeth Warren tallied the most, time, coming in at 18:33, with Bernie Sanders a close second, at 17:45.

Next in line was Pete Buttigieg, at 14:07.

From there, candidates were floating around the 10-11 minute mark, with former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper getting a mere 8:49 of face time.

Liberals Not Happy

MSNBC came under much the same scrutiny during the first round of debates.

More than a dozen NBC executives have donated to Kamala Harris’ campaign, so it was no surprise she was given free rein during that debate.

This time around, CNN was forcing Sanders, Warren, and Buttigieg down everyone’s throats while cutting off the other candidates or not even giving them a chance to reply.

Any time something negative was said about those three candidates, however, they always seemed to be given facetime to set the record straight, at least in their eyes.

In addition to the time issues, the moderators were taking heat from both the candidates and their fellow media members.

WaPo writer Alyssa Rosenberg stated, “The moderators are the big losers here, so far.”

Sanders slammed Tapper during the debate for using a “Republican talking point” when Tapper wanted to know if the middle class would be hit with higher taxes for universal healthcare coverage.

The Surprise Star

IMO, the debate was boring and fantasy-speak.

I lasted about ten minutes before I had to turn it off.

For those that stayed tuned in, however, Marianne Williamson seemed to be the “star” of the evening.

While getting the second-lowest amount of time of any candidate, she got the most attention on social media and Google searches.

While many criticized her rather flakey personality, quite a few people also agreed with what she was saying.

Her line of the night was when she vowed to combat “this dark psychic force of the collectivized hatred that this president is bringing up in this country.’

Noted Trump-hater and uber-liberal comedian Sarah Silverman stated, “She may be granola whacky, but she’s right.”

The New York Times White House Correspondent Annie Karni and Breitbart Senior Editor-at-Large Joel Pollack agreed that Williamson was having a “strong night.”

The fact anyone agreed that Williamson was the star of the night just proves how pitiful last night’s field really was.

Clearly, the Democrat candidate will not be coming from last night’s stage.

Tonight is the real debate, with Kamala Harris and Joe Biden facing off again.

I don’t care what the polls say, one of these two will eventually face off against Trump.
