CNN Then and Now – 2016: America at It’s Best | 2020: A Racist Monument

The narrative of today’s media depends on the subject of the report.

As we have seen repeatedly, if it is Trump, it is usually racist and/or negative angle, completely the opposite when it is a Democrat or someone the media likes.

The Duplicity of Our Media

Why don’t many Americans trust the media any longer?

Well, let’s look at two reports on the same exact subject but how differently they were reported by the mainstream media.

When Bernie Sanders visited Mt. Rushmore in 2016, Sanders stated that Mt. Rushmore made him proud.

He stated, “This is our country at its very best,” and based on how CNN covered the Senator’s visit, it seemed like they agreed…

Now, here we are four years later, and CNN is again covering a visit to Mt. Rushmore, but the narrative has changed considerably.

When CNN reported the Trump visit to the landmark, CNN’s Leyla Santiago stated, “President Trump will be at Mount Rushmore, where he’ll be standing in front of a monument of two slave owners and on land wrestled away from Native Americans.

“I’m told that, uh, he’ll be focusing on the effort to ‘tear down our country’s history.’”

Now, there has been no new information about Washington or Jefferson unveiled over the last four years.

What was true about both before 2020 remains true today, yet CNN did not seem to mind back in 2016.

America is being deceived to manipulate a presidential election; it really is that simple.

Democrats are upset about some ads the Russians took out in 2016 but I assure you, what the mainstream media is doing to us today is far worse than any other government during any other election.
