Earlier this week, President Trump hosted a conference at the White House with 20 members of local faith communities.
After the meeting, CNN did it’s best to get the participants to say something negative about Trump, but it simply did not happen.
Not a Photo-Op
President Trump has hosted these conferences numerous times during his presidency.
The purpose is to get feedback from community leaders in minority communities to see what can be done to better these communities.
When CNN picked Rev. Bill Owens to try to get a quote that would rip Trump, they picked the wrong person.
Owens stated, “Two hours of discussion, that’s not a photo-op”
He further stated they were discussing “the issues facing the black community, and there are many.”
Let the Man Talk
Don Lemon also tried to get Rev. Owens to talk smack against Trump, but he also failed.
Lemon set the Reverend up several times, expecting him to trash Trump, but it never happened.
Then, anytime the Reverend said something nice about Trump or even tried to talk about the plight of inner-city kids, Lemon shut him down.

It was really amusing when Lemon tried to get Owens to say something negative about Trump by stating that Trump only attacked people of color.
Owens shut that narrative right down, stating, “President Trump does not attack people because of color.
“He attacks anybody he feels need it.”
And, as you saw, when Lemon did not get the response he wanted, he tried to discredit Owens by twisting a quote that Owens gave back in 2012.
In essence, Lemon was doing exactly what he was trying to call Trump out for!
He attacked a man of color simply because he did not get the response he wanted.
This was embarrassing for CNN and should firmly cement Lemon as a hack rather than a true journalist.
He, along with his fellow media members, refuse to listen to anyone that will not buy into the narrative that Trump is a racist.
And they wonder why the people of this country do not trust the media.
