The party line is officially broken when it comes to Texas Democrats and the Biden administration.
Several Texas Democrats, including Rep. Cuellar, have been very vocal about the problem at the border.
Now, however, Cuellar is openly calling out Biden for not personally addressing the situation.
Absentee President
Democrats are very fond of calling elected official leaders.
Well, part of leadership is taking on problems head-on, taking ownership, then working to fix those problems.
Joe Biden has done none of that.
His press secretary says there is no need to “label” what is going on and officials within the administration regularly make public statements saying there is no crisis and everything is under control.
Behind closed doors, however, we know for a fact the administration is starting to panic that the surge is getting out of control.
Rep. Cuellar wants answers, stating, “Any president should come down [and] really spend time with border communities.
“You know, the president sent a delegation and a bunch of folks from the White House.
“They didn’t talk to anybody, not even members of Congress down here.”
I can count on one hand how many times I agree with Democrats, but this would be one of them.
Biden needs to stop playing politics and take ownership of this problem.
More importantly, he needs to fix it.
