Sabrina Belcher is an aspiring musician as well as having political aspirations.
Belcher was allegedly attacked in her car, with a video blowing up on social media of the alleged hate crime.
As it turns out, the entire thing was staged, with Belcher allegedly staging the incident to garner empathy and votes for her mayor’s race in South Carolina.
Local police stated, “They staged a kidnapping and beating in order to garner publicity, sympathy and votes in the November election.”

Chief Russel Roark stated, “This was simply an effort to create disorder and discontent in our community for personal gain.
“As a result, a valuable number of resources, including personnel, man hours of the police department as well as local medical professionals, were wasted based on false information.”
Belcher was hoping to become the first black female mayor of Sumpter, S.C., and now she will be lucky if she is even allowed to vote on election day.
