Dems Go On Attack After Sanders Wins Nevada

After Bernie Sanders had a convincing win in Nevada, the elites of the party and the other so-called moderate candidates are all starting to hit the panic button.

The gloves have officially come off and now every one of them is going after Bernie Sanders with attacks.

Gloves Are Off

Even though only 60 percent of the voting has been reported, virtually every news agency has called the race for Bernie Sanders.

While it will probably change somewhat, Sanders right now holds all the delegates.

Sanders currently has 46 percent of the vote, with Biden a distant second at 19.6 percent, following by Buttigieg at 15.3 percent.

Warren is barely over 10 percent and nobody else in the field has broken the five percent barrier.

Knowing it’s now or never, all the top contenders are starting to finally fire shots at Bernie.

Joe Biden was first, both taking a shot at Sanders and once again trying to ride Obama’s coattails.

Biden stated, “I was proud to run with Barack Obama.

“I’m proud to still be his friend and, I tell you what, I promise you I wasn’t talking about running a Democratic primary against him in 2012.”

Biden was clearly referencing the report that Sanders was thinking about primarying Obama in 2012 to remind everyone that Sanders is really an Independent and a socialist who is merely renting the Democrat label to run in the election to get the financial support of the DNC.

The candidate currently in second place behind Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, also took off the gloves, calling out Sanders for a very limited ideology…

Bloomberg’s campaign, which did not even run in Nevada, also chimed in, stating, “The Nevada results reinforce the reality that this fragmented field is putting Bernie Sanders on pace to amass an insurmountable delegate lead.

“This is a candidate who just declared war on the so-called ‘Democratic Establishment.’

“We are going to need Independents AND Republicans to defeat Trump – attacking your own party is no way to get started.

“As Mike says, if we choose a candidate who appeals to a small base – like Senator Sanders – it will be a fatal error.”

Dems Need a Strategy Change

The Bernie Sanders story might be a feel-good story for millennials, but it is a disaster for the Democrat party.

Sanders will never get the support of moderate Dems and Independent voters, which means they will either vote for Trump or sit on the sidelines, either result of which puts Trump back in the White House for four more years.

The ONLY way Democrats are going to defeat Sanders is if they narrow down this field to provide more votes for other top candidates in this race.

That, however, does not seem likely until after Super Tuesday and by then, it might be too late.

Warren stated, “We have a lot of states to go and right now I can feel the momentum.”

Warren’s campaign manager was also spinning a yarn on Twitter to get people riled up for Liz…

Based on these comments, she will not be going anywhere soon even though she only showed on the radar in one state so far.

Klobuchar also keeps spinning, once again stating that her campaign has exceeded expectations.

So, I would have to ask, what exactly were your expectations if you did not even crack five percent?

The real benefit for Trump, though, is that if Bernie does win the nomination, how does someone like Buttigieg or Biden take back these attacks?

Do they say they are only supporting Sanders to defeat Trump even though they disagree with virtually every platform issue he has?

Color me a fool, but I really don’t think that is going to play well in November.
