Dems Have the Numbers, Trump Impeachment in House is Imminent

It’s official, Democrats officially have enough support in the House to start impeachment against Donald Trump.

According to a recent Time straw poll, there are now a total of “at least 224 of the 435 members of the House of Representatives” supporting the impeachment inquiry against Trump.

Numbers Soar

The number in the House has slowly increased ever since Rep. Tlaib (D-Mich) started to push the impeachment

Once it was backed by Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), it picked up even more juice.

While this movement was growing, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) refused to give in to the calls, but that recently changed.

Last week, after the news about the Ukraine phone call surfaced, Pelosi threw her support behind the inquiry.

Mind you, she had not even seen the transcript at that point.

Once Pelosi got behind the impeachment, support within the party soared, gaining about 80 new supporters virtually overnight.

At 224 members, they are now at least six over what they will need to successfully push the impeachment proceedings to the Senate.

How Far Will This Go?

According to recent reports, Democrats may have impeachment papers drawn up within weeks, which means the House could start its process and vote at some point in October.

If the members showing their support for the inquiry vote in favor of the impeachment, the trial will then move to the Senate.

The only way the impeachment can then be successful is with a supermajority of a vote in the Senate, something that will not currently happen.

Since Republicans currently own 53 of the Senate seats, giving them a small majority, there is simply no way this attempt at hijacking the White House can be successful.

Regardless, Dems are going to get what they want by hanging an impeachment over the head of Donald Trump during an election season.

This is also a rather sneaky way of attacking Trump’s economy.

By introducing an impeachment in the House, investors start to get sketchy and the markets start to crash.

Additionally, companies that have been benefitting from the tax cuts will start to pull back, as we have already seen.

If the Dems can get the economy to crash in the midst of the election, it will take away one of Trump’s biggest talking points.

At that point, it will be up to Trump to hold Democrats responsible for the crash, as it was just humming along before the impeachment started.

Somehow, someway, though, an investigation into Biden must be conducted because even a hint of wrongdoing will create massive blowback for Democrats.

If there was corruption, there is little doubt most Americans will look past Trump asking Ukraine to investigate Biden because it will prove he was exposing political corruption, not necessarily looking for political gain himself.

All I know is the waters for the 2020 election just got a LOT muddier.
