Donald Trump Resigns from SAG Over Capitol Riot Outrage

After the Capitol riot, the powers that be for the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) decided that Donald Trump had violated the organization’s policies.

Representatives made some rather disparaging remarks about Trump and the former president was sent an official notice that his membership in the union was now in danger of being revoked.

Well, suffice it to say, Trump did not take the letter kindly and it now appears as though Trump’s acting career is over.

Who Cares!

Trump has been a member of the SAG since 1989.

In addition to his hit TV show, “The Apprentice,” Trump has done cameos in some pretty high-profile movies.

That will not be happening again anytime soon, as Trump has formally resigned his membership.

After Trump was told his union card was under review, Trump decided to save them the time of the hearing and told them to take their union card and shove it.

Trump, in part, stated, “I write to you today regarding the so-called Disciplinary Committee hearing aimed at revoking my union membership. Who cares!”

He continued, “While I’m not familiar with your work, I’m very proud of my work on movies such as Home Alone 2, Zoolander and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps; and television shows including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Saturday Night Live, and of course, one of the most successful shows in television history, The Apprentice—to name just a few!”

Then he just went off, stating, “Which brings me to your blatant attempt at free media attention to distract from your dismal record as a union.

“Your organization has done little for its members, and nothing for me—besides collecting dues and promoting dangerous un-American policies and ideas—as evident by your massive unemployment rates and lawsuits from celebrated actors, who even recorded a video asking, ‘Why isn’t the union fighting for me?’”

Then he officially resigned, stating, “I no longer wish to be associated with your union.

“As such, this letter is to inform you of my immediate resigning from SAG-AFTRA.”

He finally added, “You have done nothing for me.”
