Dr. Fauci Changes Tone on COVID-19 Messaging

In just a matter of days, Dr. Fauci has gone from gloom and doom to very hopeful.

The only thing that has changed has been the media handing the election to Joe Biden, so why the sudden pivot in Fauci’s tone other than he is being exposed for politicizing the pandemic.

Then and Now

It is my personal opinion that Fauci’s feelings got hurt when Trump called him out for the errors that he made during the pandemic.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, has ever held Fauci accountable until Trump, and it did not go over well.

We see that in how Fauci’s overall tone changed over the last few weeks.

Several days before the election, Fauci stated, “If we get a vaccination campaign, and by the second or third quarter of 2021 we have vaccinated a substantial proportion of the people, I think it will be easily by the end of 2021 — and perhaps even into the next year — before we start having some semblances of normality.”

Now, that does not sound very promising, right?

Here are comments from two interviews Fauci did on Thursday.

Per Bloomberg News, Fauci stated, “Certainly it’s not going to be a pandemic for a lot longer, because I believe the vaccines are going to turn that around.”

Then, on “Good Morning America,” Fauci stated, “I just want to repeat the message that I keep saying over and over again that help is really on the way.

“You know, if you think of it metaphorically, you know, the cavalry is coming here. Vaccines are going to have a major positive impact.

“They’re going to start being implemented and deployed in December and as we get into the early part of the year. It’s going to be January, February, March, more and more and more people are going to be able to be vaccinated.

“So, if we could just hang in there, do the public health measures that we’re talking about, we’re going to get this under control. I promise you.”

I think we can all agree, that is a pretty dramatic turnaround in opinion, but we are supposed to believe that Fauci did not politicize the pandemic, right?
