Elizabeth Warren just crossed a line that proves she has no right running for president.
While visiting Jackson State University in Mississippi, Warren stated she wants to get rid of the electoral college.
So Much for that Pesky Constitution
For years, Democrats have been trying to chip away at our Constitution.
The Second Amendment, if they had their way, would be erased.
Now, the 12th Amendment is also apparently in their way to grab power, so they want to do away with that as well.
After the general election in 2016, all we heard was how Hillary won the popular vote, so she should be the president.
Warren echoed those comments during her appearance but took it a step further.
“Every vote matters and the way we can make that happen is that we can have national voting, and that means get rid of the Electoral College,” Warren stated.
Warren and the Democrats are selling this as a way to make America better, but the fact is it will make the country far worse and susceptible to voting manipulation.
By the way, that is exactly why our Framers and Founding Fathers instituted the Electoral College in the first place.
Democracy Cannot be Trusted
Sadly, today’s politicians both on the left and the right always call this country a democracy, which we are not.
Democracy actually terrified our Framers and Founding Fathers because they knew it could be manipulated.
Instead, they founded a Democratic Republic.
The Electoral College, in Alexander Hamilton’s words, was created to preserve “the sense of the people.”
If we did not have the Electoral College, their very fears would come true.
The entirety of this nation would not be represented in the office of the President and there is a very good chance voting would be manipulated for one party to win over another.
And, I think we all know the party that is capable of manipulating our voter base.
Let me give you an example of how this would happen…
Democrats win the presidency and immediately open the borders to flood this country with millions of immigrants.
They also provide a path to citizenship for all those currently in the country illegally.
Suddenly, our voter base is enriched by more than 10 million voters, most of whom would vote Democrat because they are the ones that allowed them here unchecked and in an unlimited fashion.
The result of this would be an unending stream of Democrat president’s and more than likely, a massive majority in both the House and the Senate.
Democrats would be able to go unchallenged for decades, forever changing the landscape and ideology of this country.
The Electoral College guarantees that does not happen. While states are obviously given a different allotment of electoral votes, the current process ensures candidates must appeal to the bulk of the country rather than to largely populated states.
This country was founded to be “the land of the free.”
This country was founded specifically to get out from underneath the Crown and overreach the government had on its people.
Warren and her fellow Democrats can use all the slick words they want, but all they are actually doing is trying to disguise the fact they want to turn the United States into a socialist country, the very type of country that will have our Framers and Founding Fathers rolling over in their respective graves.
The 2016 election was important, but it was nothing compared to the importance of the 2020 election.
To put it bluntly, if Democrats win in 2020, the GOP and conservatism will quickly become an endangered species in this country.
