Feinstein Furious Over President Trump’s Judicial Nominations

President Trump has been on a mission to impact the current liberal slant in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals

With Democrats blocking virtually every nominee the administration has put forward, Republicans have decided to discard the tradition of blue slips and just move forward with nomination hearings.

Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) has taken exception to this move by Republicans, calling the practice “disgraceful.”

New Day

After Trump won the presidential election in 2016, Hillary Clinton stood in front of the country and said she would work to help unite the country after such a divisive election.

Within that same week, she was telling anyone that would listen the election was not legitimate and Trump was a racist.

After the 2018 mid-term elections, Nancy Pelosi, the new Speaker of the House, stated she would work with Republicans to create bipartisan legislation to help all Americans.

That same week, Pelosi trashed Trump and soon thereafter, she, along with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) threatened party members that did not vote the party line.

The uncooperative and obstructionist Democrats are clearly not going to work with this administration or this President, so Republicans did what they needed to do in order to move things along.

Dangerous, but Expected

The move by Republicans sets a dangerous precedent, but did they really have a choice?

The blue slip practice has been in place for more than 100 years, and it has always been respected.

If the state’s senators did not support an appointment, they simply did not move forward.

The problem now, though, is Democrats in office are not willing to even discuss Trump appointments.

As far as they are concerned, if Trump is for someone or a policy, it is not good, so they will block it.

If Democrats were willing to actually work with Republicans, this would not even be an issue.

The Democrat Senators representing California did not offer a blue slip for a single nominated judge, so what option did Republicans have if they want to work through this backlog of appointments?

Feinstein stated, “As Senator Harris and I have made clear, we’ve been willing to work from the start with this president to choose consensus, mainstream nominees to the 9th Circuit.”

We all know that is not the case, though, especially now with Harris running for President.

Feinstein has already threatened, “What goes around, comes around,” so we know where Democrats mindset is, which makes it imperative Trump win the next election.

If he doesn’t, Democrats will be on a mission to change this country and our laws to such a degree, conservatives may never see the White House or a majority in either the House of the Senate ever again.
