Joe Biden’s third presidential run may be over before it ever really gets started.
After the allegations made by Lucy Flores renewed the “Creepy” Uncle Joe narrative, a second woman has come forward making similar accusations against Biden.
Second Accuser
Flores’ account must have struck a nerve with Amy Lappos, as she has now come forward with her “Creepy Joe” incident.
According to Lappos, the alleged incident happened in 2009 at a fundraiser for Democrat Rep. Jim Himes.
Himes was holding a $1,000/plate event and Biden was appearing to offer his support.
Like Flores, Lappos describes an incident that is not necessarily sexual in nature, just very unsettling if it is not welcome.
Lappos stated, “It wasn’t sexual, but he did grab me by my head.”
“He put his hand around my neck and pulled me in to rub noses with me. When he was pulling me in, I thought he was going to kiss me on the mouth,” she added.
Lappos went on to say, “Uninvited affection is not okay. Objectifying women is not okay. Men who invade a woman’s personal space, touch women inappropriately, sexually harass women and feed rape culture have no place in a position of power.”
Guilty till Proven Innocent
Joe Biden is being treated to a small dose of what Donald Trump and Brett Kavanaugh faced recently.
The different here, though, is that there are plenty of pictures floating around to support the claims of both of these women.
There is also the fact this is a presidential election and you just don’t have a clue what is real and what is being put out there to hurt someone politically.
For instance, something to consider about Flores is that she publicly endorsed Bernie Sanders in 2016 as well as serving on the board of a Sanders-aligned group called Our Revolution.
Assuming she is going to support Sanders again, this would make as a great way to eliminate one of the more popular possible candidates in the race.
Even if we give Biden the benefit of that particular doubt, there are just so many pictures with him doing exactly what these women accused him of, it is going to be hard for Biden to sway anyone’s opinion.
Taking all that into account, even though he is among the most popular possible Democrat candidates right now, it is hard to imagine Biden announcing, as that would only turn the heat up considerably on these allegations.
Furthermore, if Democrats do not want a presidency marred by allegations and investigations like they are doing to Trump, they are going to have to give the nod to someone that is absolutely squeaky clean (if that person actually exists in their party is another question entirely).
