The latest rallying cry by Democrats is to blame Trump for the problems at the border, especially when it comes to the children and their holding facilities.
Thomas Homan, who served as the Assistant Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for almost four years in the Obama administration, came forward to set the record straight.
Homan stated, “I’ve been to that facility, where they talk about cages.
“That facility was built under President Obama under (Homeland Security) Secretary Jeh Johnson.
“I was there because I was there when it was built.”
Blasting Dems
Even though Homan served under Obama, he is not taking it lightly that this problem is being dumped into the lap of Donald Trump.
As I have stated here numerous times and as Trump himself has stated on more than one occasion, Trump inherited this, he did not create it.
Homan pointed to Democrats who keep asking Trump officials, “You still keeping kids in cages?”
The former ICE official stated, “I would answer the question, ‘The kids are being housed in the same facility built under the Obama administration.’
“If you want to call them cages, call them cages.
“But if the left wants to call them cages and the Democrats want to call them cages then they have to accept the fact that they were built and funded in FY 2015.”
Homan further stated the “cages” were created that way to actually protect the children.
He stated, “It’s chain link dividers that keeps children separate from unrelated adults.
“It’s about protecting children.”
More Against Obama
If you watched the debates, you know the new crop of Democrats want to decriminalize illegal immigration and act like Trump is some type of monster for wanting to enforce the law.
Trump is actually trying to do what Obama did, only he is being blocked by Democrats.
Homan stated, “I’ve stated many times, there are over 100,000 family units with final orders, been ordered removed by an immigration judge.
“We need to seek them out and return them to their homeland.
“We need to execute the final orders issued by the judges, or there’s no integrity to the entire system.
“That’s not being done; we need to do it.
“I did it four years ago and it worked.
“I can’t understand why that’s not happening.”
This quote should be rammed right into the face of Biden and he should have to explain every word of what Homan said to justify how he can possibly be allowed to remain in this race after blatantly misleading the American people so badly on this subject.
