If the police could go back, I am sure they would have handled the Breonna Taylor warrant much differently.
However, the media is adding to the problems in this case by simply hiding facts and not telling the full truth about what happened that night.
The Facts
First, police entered the home AFTER knocking numerous times, contrary to the belief this was a no-knock warrant.
They also believed Taylor was alone that night, which is one of the reasons this escalated so quickly.
Taylor’s boyfriend fired at police first, hitting an officer in the leg, which is why the police opened fire.
As messed up as all of this was, the police were NOT at fault, nor was Taylor’s boyfriend.

This was not about race, period. Taylor was not targeted, period.
Does it show that perhaps some policies and procedures need to be changed by the police? Absolutely, but it was NOT murder.
