The Mueller report is starting to have some far-reaching effects.
The first of which is an overwhelming call by Republicans for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) to resign his role as House Intelligence Committee Chairman.
Time to Step Down
The demands against Schiff are not the usual soapbox nonsense we see from our elected representatives.
Schiff sits as the chairman of one of the most powerful committees in Congress, but he is a snake oil salesman and nothing more.
For months, he has gone on TV swearing up and down he personally saw overwhelming evidence of collusion by Donald Trump and the Russians.
Unless Robert Mueller is completely inept, something most lawmakers swear is not the case, then Schiff has been lying to the American people.
Even worse, he is condoning the use of taxpayer funds to chase down what amounts to be nothing more than a conspiracy theory.
He simply has no business being the head of a committee that deals with extremely volatile information and evidence related to national security.
Called Out by White House
The White House has joined the movement to have him ousted.
Kellyanne Conway stated, “He’s been on every TV show 50 times a day for practically two years, promising Americans the president would either be impeached or indicted.”
“He has no right, as somebody who has been peddling a lie, day after day after day, unchallenged. Unchallenged and not under oath. Somebody should have put him under oath and said, ‘You have evidence, where is it?”
Press Secretary Sanders told Schiff to either bring his evidence forward or “shut the heck up.”
The problem for Schiff is that all of the evidence he has was more than likely already seen by Mueller.
It is highly unlikely Schiff is sitting on a smoking gun when Mueller had far more resources at his disposal than Schiff.
Schiff, like most other Democrats, was hanging his hat on the hopes Mueller would find something to indict Trump on, but he didn’t.
Now they are left emptyhanded with a huge mess to clean up.
So far, party leadership has supported Schiff, but doing so will only dig the party a deeper hole.
They all wanted Trump removed for perceived wrongdoing.
Well, now we present you with absolute proof Schiff deceived Americans and abused his office, so do something about hit and remove him from at the very least, his role as the House Intelligence Committee Chairman.
