GOP Representative: Biden Pressuring CDC on School Re-opening Policy

According to the science and data, our schools should be reopened right now.

Teachers’ unions, however, do not want to send their members back to school.

According to Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH), that stand by teachers’ unions is what is dictating policy and he now believes the Biden administration is putting pressure on the CDC to rollback its stance to support the unions, not the science and data.

About That Science

Up to this point, the CDC has stated that all teachers do not need to be vaccinated for schools to safely reopen.

That, however, is starting to change.

CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky is reportedly walking back her guidance, and Rep. Wenstrup believes it is because of pressure being applied by the White House.

He stated that teachers’ unions “seem to be the ones that don’t want to have the kids go back to school or the teachers to be teaching, and that seems to be the problem.

“So, is he [President Joe Biden] just bowing down to the union? It may be that’s the case.

“It certainly seems like it. And the CDC director has said, well, it is safe.

“But then she had to walk it back. And I’m sure that was pressure from above.”
