Governor Abbott Launches Operation Lone Star to Address Human Trafficking at Border

The new open border policy by Joe Biden has created not only a migrant surge but also more problems with human trafficking.

Unaccompanied minors are a magnet for cartels and human traffickers, so Governor Abbott is taking matters into his own hands.

Abbott recently announced the launching of Operation Lone Star to battle the human trafficking problems we see along the southern border of Texas.

Abbott went right to the attack, stating that Biden was “ill-prepared” to deal with the increase in traffic due to his new policies.

Abbott further stated, “President Biden’s reckless open border policies have created a humanitarian crisis that is enriching the cartels, smugglers, and human traffickers who often prey on and abuse unaccompanied minors.

“Americans deserve to know what the Biden Administration is doing to investigate the surge of unaccompanied minors crossing the border and to protect those who are victims of human trafficking.

“That is why we are expanding Operation Lone Star to include anti-human trafficking efforts.”

He added, “Whether it’s securing the border or fighting human trafficking, the state of Texas will always step up to fill the gaps left by Washington.”
