Gowdy Claims Secret Tapes Could be a ‘Game-Changer’

Former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy dropped a bombshell this Sunday during an interview on Fox News.

Gowdy stated if the government was using informants, they would have been wired, which means transcripts must exist.

If those transcripts are made public, he stated it has “the potential to be a game-changer.”

Using Spies

Gowdy is adamant if our government was spying on individuals, it needs to justify why it was doing so.

We know there were wiretaps and we also know the FBI was trying to use several insiders to get information against Trump.

The former S.C. congressman stated, “If the bureau’s going to send an informant in, the informant’s going to be wired, and if the bureau is monitoring telephone calls, there’s going to be a transcript of that.

“Some of us have been fortunate enough to know whether or not those transcripts exist.

“But they haven’t been made public, and I think one, in particular … has the potential to actually persuade people.

“Very little in this Russian probe, I’m afraid, is going to actually persuade people who hate Trump or love Trump.

“But there is some information in these transcripts that has the potential to be a game-changer if ever made public.”

Well, do tell Mr. Gowdy!

Debunking the Steele Dossier

Gowdy also hit the Steele dossier rather hard.

This was the document at the core of the investigation as well as being used to secure FISA warrants during the probe.

On the Steele dossier, Gowdy stated, “I mean, let’s just call it for what it is.

“It’s a series of rank hearsay compilations put together by an FBI source who was later defrocked.

“Paid for by the Democrat National Committee, then, oh, by the way, Christopher Steele hated Donald Trump too, so if we can call it a dossier, it sounds official.

“It’s really something the National Enquirer would blush if they printed, so we know that is was used four times by the United States government.”

The four times he is alluding to are the initial FISA warrant application as well as the extensions.

Gowdy had provided a wealth of insight since leaving office and his comments have the Trump camp lathering at the mouth.

This is all information Attorney General Barr has and Gowdy is shining the flashlight in the spots where Barr needs to look if we are truly going to get to the bottom of this fiasco.
