House Judiciary Chairman Accuses Trump of ‘High Crimes and Misdemeanors’

House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) is up to his old tricks again.

Just days before Robert Mueller is set to testify before the committee, Nadler is trying to get liberals fired up, stating, there is “very substantial evidence” Trump is “guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors.”

On What Basis?

As usual, Nadler was too cowardly to make any specific accusations.

Instead, he is kicking the can down the road to Mueller himself.

He stated, “We have to … let Mueller present those facts to the American people, and then see where we go from there because the administration must be held accountable.”

Mueller is scheduled to testify before the House committee on Wednesday.

Nadler, however, is clearly trying to set the stage to revive the impeachment talk that was killed when Rep. Al Green’s (D-TX) impeachment measure failed on the House floor last week.

House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) did much the same thing when he was asked about the situation.

Schiff stated, “We want the people to hear it directly from him.”

Mueller’s Testimony

What Mueller plans on saying is still up for debate.

After the report was originally issued, Mueller stated that he wanted to be done with it and allow his report to stand on its own merits.

Our best guess is the Dems are going to latch onto the statement Mueller made about obstruction that left the door open for Dems to continue to push this narrative.

They are going to try to get Mueller to admit that were it not for Trump being President, Mueller would have issued a finding against Trump on obstruction.

If Mueller caves and gives them what they want, get ready for the impeachment talk to be ramped up again.

If Mueller refuses to answer their question or dodges it as he did in his report, expect the Dems to rip him to shreds and threaten him with more legal action.

They will try to embarrass him in public as much as they can until they get what they want out of him.

Regardless of how this goes, though, it is going to be a virtual shitshow for the next week or so as all this plays out.
