House Judiciary Committee Schedules Mueller to Testify

Rumors are now flying around D.C. that Robert Mueller will be on the Hill in less than two weeks to testify before the House Judiciary Committee.

According to Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI), Mueller has been scheduled to appear on May 15.

Direct from the Source

Democrats have been demanding an unredacted Mueller report, something that is still not certain to happen.

While numerous House committees have subpoenas out, they would be better served to line the bottom of a cat’s litter box for all they are worth.

Barr has ignored his subpoena and the White House is refusing to honor subpoenas as well.

Normally, I would be the first one to call out the White House over this, but the fact is the Democrats are asking for information to which they are not entitled.

Grand Jury testimony, which is believed to make up a significant portion of the redactions in the report, is protected.

As far as Trump goes, Dems want to get their hands on his tax returns but again, they are not entitled to them.

No Opposition

I have stated several times already if House members want to grill anyone over the report, it should be Mueller, not Barr.

Apparently, the White House believes the same, as the administration said it has no objections to Mueller testifying at this point.

Democrats are raking Barr over the coals over his conclusion regarding obstruction of justice.

By the way, their claims that Barr misled people have already been debunked by Mueller himself, stating the Barr letter was factual.

Now we get to hear Mueller fully explain this report and any conclusions he made in that report as well as why he did not actually reach certain conclusions.

Since Mueller has already stated his conclusions were reached NOT on the basis of Trump being president and that Barr’s letter was, in fact, inaccurate, Mueller testifying before Congress should be a good thing for Trump.

For now, though, we just have to wait the 10 days until the House can get him on the hot seat.
