As the newfound leader of America’s conscience, Colin Kaepernick has decided the Betsy Ross Flag is offensive, forcing Nike to recall a new sneaker line.
Perhaps Kaepernick should have delivered the message to Barack Obama prior to his January 20, 2009, and January 18, 2013 inauguration ceremonies, where the flag hung proudly behind the new president.

How the American flag has become so disrespected in this country is beyond me.
How that specific flag is now associated with hate and racism is proof the left will go to just about any measure to create discourse in this country.
The Betsy Ross Flag was a symbol of the 13 colonies winning independence from the British Crown.
It represented a victory that was achieved against all odds.
It represented the hope of great things to come from a fledgling nation.
Today, it serves as a reminder of how far this country has come from its earliest days.
For that reason, many patriotic organizations, such as the Oath Keepers and III Percenters have adopted it as their symbol that if necessary, they will take up arms and fight back against a tyrannic government just as our Founders and original colonists did over 200 years ago.
We incorporated those 13 stars into our logo here at SPN for that very reason.
Yet, that patriotism is being misconstrued by the left.
People like Colin Kaepernick insist on pushing a narrative that is centuries old.
He wants to bring up a past this county has worked so hard to move forward from and worked to correct simply to create move divide and villainize half this country.
If he wants to take it that far, perhaps we should remove the red and blue because those colors are popular colors with violent gangs like the Bloods and the Crypts.
Perhaps we should remove the white because it reminds him of the Caucasian population in this country he so vehemently despises (even though it was a white couple that adopted him and gave him the privileged life that he had).
Why do we even need a flag? Let’s just erase every patriotic symbol in this country to pacify the left and allow them to come out from their safe spaces again.
The movement from the left has gone so far, half the people in this country are now actually ashamed to say they are Americans now.
But think about that…
Where would civil rights be if not for America?
Where would the woman’s movement be if not for America?
We can go and on and on with the various injustices existed before America sent the entire world down a better path.
No, America and Americans not perfect, but who is?
The idea is to learn from past mistakes and make yourself and your country better from them, which we have by and largely done.
We are not supposed to hide from our history and be ashamed of it, but proud of the good and work harder every day to fix the bad.
This New Breed of Democrat and liberals like Colin Kaepernick are not only stuck in the past, but they work diligently every day to create more divide.
All of these “issues” were present when Barack Obama was in office, but nobody said a word.
Nobody complained about migrant deaths and children in cages when Obama was in office, now it is a national outrage.
I will be the first to admit, these are issues that need to be addressed, but you cannot put the onus of the blame on Trump when he inherited this mess and is doing everything in his power to fix it, yet he continues to be obstructed by a Democrat party from doing exactly that because they want this to continue so it gives them something to attack Trump on.
Until Democrats are willing to work with Trump, the divide will continue.
Until then, people like Colin Kaepernick will continue to be granted far more power and far too loud a voice than is actually deserved.
