Is Buttigieg Plagiarizing from Barack Obama’s Stump Speeches?

There is a video going around right now that is not going to be very good for the presidential campaign of Pete Buttigieg.

Now, I could be mistaken, but in the video below, it sure seems like Buttigieg is stealing from previous Obama stump speeches…

The End of Pete

When you see them side-by-side like that, it is hard to defend Buttigieg and pretty clear he is plagiarizing key elements from old Obama stump speeches.

And yes, sure, if you stump enough, there is going to be some crossover, but these are all very specific elements, talking about a “beacon,” “just a thought,” and characterizing the reach of the movement.

This is exactly what ended Joe Biden’s campaign in 1987 and what could end Buttigieg’s campaign in 2020.

Following Biden’s Path

Honestly, Joe Biden should have been called out for doing this again, but it seemed to slip under everyone’s radar.

During the 1988 presidential campaign, Joe Biden had to make an early exit for his stump speeches.

Biden was lifting language from past speeches by Robert F. Kennedy and Hubert Humphrey.

Not only that, but Biden has also admitted he plagiarized when he was a law school student.

He is a fraud, and he even got caught doing it during this campaign.

When Biden first released some of his policy proposals, checkers found that he had once again lifted material without properly crediting it.

Josh Nelson from CREDO caught him, saying that Biden has lifted content from “Shell, Peabody Energy, and Arch Coal.”

When Biden was called out, his staff stated it was merely an error in a rush to get the proposals online and they went back and made the citations after they were caught.

There are two problems, the first being obvious, the second being that these are supposed to be original policies, not regurgitated material from others, which is what Biden is clearly doing.

So, now, in the Democrat party, we have a communist, two plagiarists, and a liar leading the way.

It sounds more like the cast of “The Dirty Dozen” than it does a field of presidential candidates.
