Israel Blocks Tlaib and Omar from Entering Country

Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn) have taken a direct shot across the bow that has the entire Democrat party up in arms.

After President Trump sent out a blistering tweet denouncing a scheduled trip to Israel by Omar and Tlaib, the Israeli government banned the two women from entering the country.

Backing Up Trump

While Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu always seemed to be under attack by Obama, President Trump has made it quite clear this country backs Israel.

That being the case, it was not surprising to see Israel ban two politicians from this country that have been anti-Israel from day one in office.

After President Trump learned of the visit by Omar and Tlaib, he more or less asked Israel to block them from coming in a very critical tweet…

Why Ban Them?

Both Ilhan and Omar have attacked Israel on numerous occasions.

In fact, Omar openly came out in favor of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement that is anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian.

When Congress voted on a measure to officially condemn the BDS movement, both Tlaib and Omar voted against the measure.

They were two of the only 17 congressional members that cast a negative vote.

What are the odds these two members of Congress would actually go to Israel and have something positive to say about the country?

Does Israel really need them riling up the opposition?

Democrats trying to compare officials from that country coming here to Tlaib and Omar going there is apples and oranges.

The United States does not have an enemy regularly dropping bombs on it and conducting airstrikes; Israel does.

While even some pro-Israel groups have decried the action, this seems perfectly justified on Netanyahu’s part.

Furthermore, Israel has a law in place specifically allowing government officials to deny entry into the country by anyone that is pro-BDS.

It is also worth noting that after Israel officials found out Tlaib was going to visit her grandmother who resides in the Israeli-controlled area of the West Bank, they approved her visit.

However, after that visit was approved, Tlaib unleashed more vile hatred against Israel, fully vindicating the original decision by Netanyahu and the statement by Trump.

Here are the tweets from both parties…

The decision to ban both of them from entering Israel may not be a popular decision, but I believe it is the right one, especially considering that vile tweet from Tlaib.
