Jimmy Carter Drops 2016 Election Bombshell on Trump

To this point, Jimmy Carter and Donald Trump have had a somewhat civil relationship.

That will no doubt change when Trump finds out former President Jimmy Carter stated that Donald Trump is an illegitimate president.

Trump and Carter

Jimmy Carter’s phone has rung on more than one occasion from Donald Trump.

Even though Carter is a Democrat, the two have seemingly had a fairly good relationship.

Carter, one more than one occasion, has offered to represent the United States abroad as a diplomat.

That relationship will no doubt take a massive hit after the comments made by Carter during a Virginia forum today.

Russian Interference

During the forum, Carter was asked about the alleged Russian interference in the election.

Carter stated, “I think a full investigation would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016.

“He lost the election, and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf.”

When Carter was then asked if Trump was, in fact, an illegitimate president, he said that, yes, he was.

The timing of the comments by Carter are both reprehensible and unforgivable.

President Trump is currently sitting down with world leaders at the G20 Summit.

This is not exactly the press Trump should be answering to during that summit.

Furthermore, Carter is making this statement with no actual proof.

Our intelligence agencies have agreed the Russians tried to interfere with the election, but they also stated they were unsuccessful.

It is even more bothersome that the kind of behavior of which Russia is alleged to have done is done all the time by the United States.

Our representatives are constantly sticking their noses into the elections of other countries to influence outcomes and everyone knows it.

This is nothing more than more sour grapes by yet another prominent Democrat to undermine Trump’s presidency and it is nothing short of despicable and dishonorable behavior, especially coming from a former president.
