This is all about the hypocrisy of Democrats and the media regarding how they covered Trump to how they are and will continue to cover Joe Biden.
Remember the outrage over Ivanka Trump and her business?
Well, Joe Biden just did something even more blatant and he appears to have broken the law in the process.
Electronic Code of Federal Regulations
There is a little pesky law on the books that prevents elected officials from profiting from their office.
This is known as Electronic Code of Federal Regulations, Title 5, Chapter XVI, Subchapter B, Part 2635, Subpart G.
The law states that no office holder can use “public office for his own private gain, for the endorsement of any product, service or enterprise, or for the private gain of friends, relatives, or persons with whom the employee is affiliated in a nongovernmental capacity, including nonprofit organizations of which the employee is an officer or member, and persons with whom the employee has or seeks employment or business relations.
“The specific prohibitions set forth in paragraphs (a) through (d) of this section apply this general standard, but are not intended to be exclusive or to limit the application of this section.”
During an interview this weekend, Joe Biden violated that law by discussing his son Hunter Biden’s new book, “Beautiful Things.”
Biden stated, “The honesty with which he stepped forward and talked about the problem. And the hope that — it gave me hope reading it.”
That little tidbit will surely generate more interest in the book and the Biden faithful will undoubtedly run over to Amazon to make a purchase.
Hunter Biden was reportedly paid a $2 million advance and had millions more on the table if the book becomes a movie, so let me ask a few questions and you can decide for yourself…
First, would anyone care about this book if Biden were not currently occupying the residence quarters at the White House?
Second, do you really think the timing of the release of the book or Joe Biden’s comments that will help promote the book were accidental?
Three, do you agree with me that this is just another way for Biden to help his family cash in on his office?
If you answered yes to all three of those, we are in agreement that Joe Biden just broke the law.
The only difference today is that the mainstream media has not said a peep about it… I wonder why?
