Justice Ginsburg, this week, issued Democrats a demoralizing blow for their quest to take over the Supreme Court.
When asked if she supported the stance by several Democrat presidential candidates to expand the Supreme Court, she claimed such a move would make it look “partisan.”
The Struggle for Power
We all know Democrats have refused to accept the results of the 2016 election.
The hearings going on today on the Hill are proof of that as is the entire Mueller investigation.
One of the reasons the Dems took the election so hard was due to the fact they knew Supreme Court appointments were on the line.
Now that Trump has been able to name two justices, the Dems want to expand the court in order to offset the small conservative edge.
That is NOT something liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would support.
She stated, “Nine seems to be a good number.
“It’s been that way for a long time.
“If anything, [it] would make the court look partisan.
“It would be that — one side saying, ‘When we’re in power, we’re going to enlarge the number of judges, so we would have more people who would vote the way we want them to.'”
Major Blow to Presidential Candidates
This is an issue that has been addressed numerous times by several Democrat presidential candidates.
In fact, there are several Democrat PACs that are supporting this platform agenda and ONLY backing candidates willing to push this issue if they are elected in 2020.
I, for one, think we currently have the most balanced court we have had in decades.
I will not pretend that I like or approve of every decision that is made by the court, but isn’t that the point?
We have a perfect mix of strong liberals, strong conservatives, and moderate Justices that hopefully make the proper decision in cases brought before them.
When push comes to shove, they seem to get it right more often than not and adding to the court will only ensure every decision lands on the liberal side of the scales of justice.
Hopefully, the American people let what Justice Ginsburg stated sink in and they realize just how far left and abusive of the system certain presidential candidates in this election really are.
