Klobuchar Drops Out, Set to Endorse Another Campaign

Over the weekend, the Democrat field got much smaller.

First, Pete Buttigieg dropped out and now Amy Klobuchar is following suit.

They Got the Message

Democrats are finally realizing this field is way too crowded if they want to defeat Bernie Sanders.

Buttigieg cited this exact reason for dropping out of the campaign on Sunday.

Klobuchar is doing something similar, but she is also throwing her support behind a candidate right now to try to impact Super Tuesday.

Immediately after the news of her ending her campaign broke, campaign officials told CNN that Klobuchar would immediately throw her support behind Joe Biden and join him on the campaign trail.

Never Had a Chance

Why Klobuchar was even in the race this long is rather confusing.

She only had one small push during the campaign but she had never been relevant in terms of garnering enough support to be a serious threat.

I am honestly not sure how much her endorsement will impact Biden, but it now seems pretty clear the party is either rallying behind Biden or he is making some backroom deals to try to save Super Tuesday.

Biden has stated he really wants a woman or a person of color as his VP, so her endorsement very well may be a deal covering that very scenario.

As of the latest polls, Biden has officially fallen behind Sanders in every Super Tuesday state, including Texas.

Biden knew California was going to be bad, but he was counting on Texas to keep him in this race.

The fact that Klobuchar is joining him in Texas for his rally tonight should show you the urgency Biden has in regard to locking down Texas.

At this point, Warren is the only “competitive” candidate left that needs to drop out, but she, at least so far, has stated she has no intention of going anywhere anytime soon.
